How To Deal With Negativity

How to deal with Negativity? This is a question that I think most of the world ask. Years ago I was sitting in front of a friend complaining about how bad things were and the amount of Negativity I was faced with. He looked at me and and said… “Dave, maybe it's because…” Watch the video and see what he said. It kind of took the wind out of me

How to deal with Negativity
How to deal with Negativity

There are a few things I mention in the video on how to overcome Negativity. Especially the last point. The last point can only work I believe if you work on the first points

1) Look at where Negativity comes from
2) Look at Yourself
3) Something Painful needs to happen
4) Go on a Media Diet
4) Take in Positivity
5) Work on your Self-Esteem

How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills – Part 3 | You Need To Speak People’s Personality Style

In this post I'm going to show you How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills with speaking to people's personalities styles. This is so important when you are trying to get through to someone else. It's not hard at all. You just need to adapt your style. How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills

How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills – Part 3

You Need To Speak People’s Personality Style

My point is I would never have had a chance with that company had I not read the people the way I did. I didn’t know about Personality Analytics or how to read people. All I knew was I had to try something new because what I had been doing wasn’t working at all. Now I should also say that this is not advice on how to conduct oneself in an interview because it most definitely isn’t the way to do it. I was just desperate and had nothing to lose in that situation. However I did learn one very important lesson. People need to be spoken to in a way that they understand. As an interviewee I had been nervous, quiet, with no confidence at all. If you keep doing the same thing over and over again, expect the same result. As Einstein says, that’s the very definition of insanity.

From my own experience I can tell you the material in this book works. The key is to learn it for yourself, and use the techniques provided to guide you to a better result. I am not a psychologist or a doctor, I just know that the information in this book will give you a great advantage when dealing with people. Never underestimate the value of people skills. So don’t give up learning new things. The reason I say this is because there will always be people who think there is nothing more to learn on this subject. Most of the criticism I’ve had is from people who haven’t even read the material. You’ll be surprised how many people give so much advice about a subject they haven’t even looked at.

As you plow along through this book you will notice that I’ve divided the personalities into four main groups and then I talk about each personality separately. I do this for two reasons. One, I think it’s easier to follow in sequence, and two, as you study the behaviors you will start to notice the personality traits a lot quicker. Let me illustrate this with an analogy.

A good chef can, with a lot of experience identify nearly all the ingredients in a dish. A great chef can get it right almost all the time. The only reason they can do that is because they have cooked, eaten and worked with such ingredients most of their lives. The point I’m making is just like a chef needs to know the ingredients to identify and match a dish. You need to know personality traits to identify what personality type people fall into. Just like a cooked dish, it sometimes is a little harder with some dishes to identify ingredients in them; it can be the same with personalities.

Some people are not the easiest to work out because they are so well balanced personality-wise, that they seem to bear all of the qualities of every personality type, or at least a little of each. There are people like that, but don’t let that discourage you. The object of this book is to help you get better at figuring out behavior. If you can’t, it’s not the end of the world. It’ll just give you more experience as you learn more and hopefully come to your own conclusions. However keep this in mind, well balanced people have generally had a whole life to work on their communication skills and somebody who depicts the behavior patterns of one of the personality types might not have the subsequent behavior to go with it.

How a South African Earns $2000 a Every Month

In this post I want to share with you how a South African nearing a life of poverty discovered that even with a bad economy he could earn an average American Salary.

How a South African

How a South African Earns $2000 a Every Month

You can get started with what I used NOW!

My Struggle

I finished school and then went straight to work. I was never
a good learner. I’m dyslexic and find it hard to concentrate
so college wasn’t going to happen and getting a degree was
simply laughable.

All I ever wanted to do was work with kids and be involved in
my church. For 25 years I did just that. I was the volunteer
that was at every meeting, every youth camp, everything.
I always gave my best, however I never really gave much
thought to my career. I was so in the moment and so
focused on my mission to help everyone that I completely forgot that
I needed to have some sort of backup plan.

 I realized Something Wasn't Right

When I got older, and now I’m talking in my latish 30’s, I started to
hang out with people my own age. Remember, I mostly hung out
with the youth crowd and I never got to really make tons of friends
my own age. I had friends my age but there weren’t many and they all
were working 9 -5 jobs, earning minimum wage. So as you
can imagine, party time wasn’t a thing we did a lot.

It wasn’t till I started hanging out with lots of my peers that I noticed that
there were a certain group of people that had a different life-style such as
business owners, executives and doctors. Many of my friends were
now earning salaries that I could only have dreamed of having.

The other thing they had was qualifications or parents that were
well off. It slowly started to dawn on me that I was never going to
have that because I never went on to further my education. I just
worked at any place that would have me.

It Became Embarrassing

It became very embarrassing when we would have braai’s (barbeque)
and would never be able to buy meat or bring drinks because I just
didn’t have the money. There would be outings where a group
of the guys would go fishing and I just had to make an excuse. It was too
embarrassing to say I couldn’t pay R200 ($25) to go on the weekend.
So I would just say I was busy… (I think they thought I didn’t like them).

Some of my close friends, who knew my situation, would sometimes
pay for me and many times I said no because my pride was too big.
But after a while you know they’re just trying to help so you let them.
It really makes you feel small.

I know that around that time I said “I will not settle for this type of life”
but I just didn’t know how to change my situation.

I remember that at a certain point in my life I started screening my
phone calls because I was afraid that if I answered I would be asked
to go out to some club or event where I would have to pay for drinks or
get in for a fee. It really was a sad and horrible time in my life.

There was a moment when I got real clear that I needed to change
something I was doing. The way my life was heading was not
going to get me anywhere.

My Turning Point

There was a moment when things became to much for me…

There was a moment when things became too much for me…

I had a chance to visualize my future and it wasn’t good.
I was a very proud person and the thought of me being a burden
to my parents and my sister was more than I could bear. I do
remember having this thought of my parents living in absolute
peril and living in strangers’ houses because they couldn’t afford
a place of their own. This thought broke me and I think it was the
combination of me getting older and not having a career when
everyone it seems was having one.

I had visions of my Mum and Dad losing their house because
I wasn’t bringing in money to support them.

I think the horror of that thought really kicked my butt. There was
no way I was going to let that happen. My parents had

raised me and sacrificed so much for me, (but that’s for
another blog).

I knew that my Mum and Dad deserved better.
I had always taken. It was time for me to give back.

I also realized I wanted more for myself.

The thing that had bugged me the most growing up without
a “proper job” was the consistent torment of that annoying
question you get asked at family get-togethers.

“What are you doing with yourself, Dave?”

This question is the reason why I still don’t like family get-togethers.
I feel judged, I feel like a failure. I feel stupid and worthless.

Everyone knows I hate family things…Christmas, Easter, New Years,
you name it.

Feeling like a burden is one thing. Being told you are is the worst
and I was pretty much told that. Let’s just say it

In retrospect it probably was that best thing I could have heard
because it really gave me the fuel I needed to change my destiny.

My Journey Begins…

About 7 years ago I had a friend who came back from working on a
ship. He had done a stint as a Photographer and came back with
his wife-to-be.

He always went to parties and events that the guys were having
and he never seemed to work, so I asked him one day “what do you
do?” He told me he was an Internet Marketer to which I said,
“really, how much do you make?” When he told me, I nearly
passed out.

He told me he made about $2000 a month, which for me was insane.
Making that amount of money is not something you make easily in South Africa.
You either need good qualifications or good contacts…a “who you know”
type job.

I was astounded at his claims. I could not believe you could make that
type of money on the internet. Really!

So I did the natural thing and asked him if he could teach me.
He gave me some advice but left it at that and basically told me
to write my own eBook. So I did.

It took me 2 years but I did it. I worked out what to write about, how to
publish it and then, how to put it online.

Well I sold nothing for 3 months and out of the blue I sold 2 copies within
6 months. It wasn’t worth it.

I then started looking for another way to make money online. I was so
determined, I looked at everything I could. I got scammed a few times
but I carried on because I knew it could be done.

There is a wonderful quote by Winston Churchill

Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm

I thought, “My friend did it, so could I!”

My AHA Moment!

It was about this time I ran into Ryan. I was looking for ways to make
money and Ryan, whom I found on YouTube, said he had a solution
and I should contact him. I took a chance and sent him an email, to
which he responded.

This was kind of weird because I never really expected him to call. After
all the scams, I was so used to being ignored that it rattled me a bit.

Ryan called me on Skype and wanted to know what I wanted to earn. I told
him I just wanted to make enough money so I didn’t battle anymore.

At this point I was looking at his computer screen on Skype because he wanted
to show me that he was the real deal. He was, without a doubt. He even
had his Dad doing the same as he was…that really amazed me!

Now I knew I wasn’t going to take this opportunity lightly, so I said

“How can I get started?”

He said, “go to the link I sent you, put in your email and buy the system”.

I wasn’t going to argue because Ryan was making money and if there
is one thing I know, emulating leaders is how you succeed.

If you want to know how to do something, do what successful people
are doing. I just never found a successful person who was willing to
teach me.

The Light Went On

See, it was at that time that Ryan told me a few things that I was doing
wrong. There were some changes I need to make quickly:

I needed THE RIGHT MINDSET
I needed THE RIGHT MENTOR and
I needed THE RIGHT METHOD

My Mindset Needed to Change

Over the last several years I had programmed my mind to fail as I had no
believe in myself. As a result, I had no confidence in my abilities. I needed
to reprogram my mind. So Ryan showed me where to get some powerful audios to
listen to, with leaders that taught me how to be successful. This is so
important.

I needed a Mentor

I had no mentor. The only mentor I had was a friend who was
getting married and he didn’t have time for me. Can you blame him?
So Ryan took on the role and started guiding me. Not babysitting me
or over the shoulder training, he just pointed me in the right direction.
That’s what a mentor does.

I Needed the Right Method

This is something I had no concept of. I needed a system that worked…
a system that stood the test of time. Ryan, being an accomplished
online marketer, knew what worked so he gave me a system that worked.

It really is that simple. If you have the right mindset and the right tools,
all you need is a bit of guidance. It’s as simple as that.

The great thing I learned about becoming successful online is that
it is about knowing what to do when your mentor know what works

So often we fight against the grain because we don’t believe anything
will work. The thought is, “it’s never worked before, why should it work
now?”

We should be saying, “If  it worked for him/her, it can work for
me”.

I share this with you because since Ryan has taught me, I have now
become a mentor to others. I have helped many become successful
online and my hope is that you, reading this, will too.
If you are tired of working in the same job, where you don’t get paid
enough, you’re sick of the struggle and just want a way to have
more in life, Click here to see what I used to get to the point
I am, where I now earn an average American Salary

It’s the same thing Ryan used and the same thing I use. This system
has all three components, even mentoring from 6 and 7 figure earners
that have put in training to get you going fast.

Also, if you take advantage of this now, I’ll get you access to a special
Facebook group that only my team has access to. We have weekly
hangouts where we help and encourage each other. You can ask question
and contribute.

How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills – Part 2 | Get A JOB understanding personality types

In this post I'm going to continue to share with you how to improve personality and communication skills. However in this segment I want to explain how I managed to get a JOB understanding personality types. First though I will say that at this point I had no idea that I was getting this JOB because I understood personality types but I was acting in a way that I was. Remember at this point I had no idea what personality types were.

How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills

How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills – Part 2

I remember a long time ago when I was in my teens, just out of school and I was looking for the “JOB” that was going to be the start of my life. Excited and full of enthusiasm I went searching only to discover that it wasn’t going to be that easy. I was so desperate I thought I’ve been on so many interviews I was running out of ways to do them. But retrospectively the thing I was doing in those interviews was so detrimental to my career because I was so nervous I came across as a guy who didn’t really know wants he wanted.

Then I got a glimpse of a cutout in a newspaper of a firm that was looking for salesmen to help them sell watches. I jumped at the opportunity and went to the address on the ad. As I walked in I could hear a lot of commotion in the boardroom. I saw the boss on the floor talking with great gusto to his team. There was a lot of excitement in the air. So in sheer desperation I thought let me try pick up some of the energy in the room and bring it to the interview. As I waited I started to study the actions of the people who worked in the company. It was like watching a sitcom. I could hear everything; the people were so loud and definite, making sure others knew what they were saying.

Anyway my turn came for the interview. I walked in and gave the person the biggest hand shake I could, introduced myself and sat down in front of them. I made sure my eyes were wide and had a big smile on my face. Then the question came. “What makes you think you should have a job with us?” Direct enough. I thought so I let them have it. I said with “COMPLETE” confidence and NO hesitation. “Because I’m the guy you’ve been looking for this whole time. There is no one out there who can do this job as well as I can. I will out shine, outperform and out last every single person working here. If you give me this position I will make sure you never regret it.” I was so stunned at what I just said I thought I better start making my may out of here. But I was given the job on the spot and knew right then I had made the right impression.

If you want to know how to improve personality and communication skills all you need to do is to follow my lead as we move on in this series of blog posts.

How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills – Part 1 | Introduction

In this mini series post I'm going to be showing you how to improve personality and communication skills. I wrote a book about the subject and I want to share a few secrets with you. I want to show you how to improve your personality and communication skills over this series. Bookmark this site and come to it every now and then as I share theses personality and communication skills

I’ve always been a guy who’s observed from afar. What I’m about to share with you isn’t new. It was first developed by William Moulton Marston, who lived about a hundred years ago, and people have been working off his ideas ever since. I was introduced to this by a friend and ever since then, I’ve not stopped thinking about it. My aim in this book is to help you understand people better & interact with people easier. This book is designed not only to help you understand others but also to give you key strategies to help you change in those areas that may make you difficult to deal with.
How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills

How To Improve Personality and Communication Skills

Personality Tests Are Not So reliable

There are a lot of personality tests out there that people take and get great results. However doing the same test twice will more than likely give you a different result. My experience has been that people change over time, and depending on their mood, they react differently. So, instead of classifying a person in a box, I theorize that if we understand how people work, personality wise, we can work with our personalities and others in a real time basis.

Having said that, it is possible to workout roughly what a person is like through observation over a period of time. Through practice and studying personality types it is possible to get a reading and know what type of person you dealing with. Tests offer a different type of analysis because they try to pin down exactly what type of person you are. This is not helpful at all because as I stated earlier, moods can alter reactions in various situations. If you are taking a test and while you’re doing so feel depressed, it can have a very different result if say you take it again and feel over-whelmed with excitement.

Taking one day at a time, and observing people, we can interact and understand why people do what they do. It just isn’t enough to know what type of personality someone is and then expect them to do exactly as you think they should. People are not robots and everyone is unique.

Before you say “But hey, I thought everyone is an individual”, let me explain…

There is a general blue print of behavior in personalities. People react instinctively almost on a subconscious level. Over time, Marston (and others) have picked up that we humans behave in a certain way most of the time. The difference is we grow and mature and teach ourselves to behave appropriately. That’s just life. Behavior Analysis is art more than science. So please find a quiet place to read and join me as we discover the behavior patterns of your friends and yourself….

Part 2 will follow tomorrow….  Over the next few months I will release more of my book to give you an glimpse into it. If you like what you read please buy a copy.
